Constantia Glen the Hidden Gem

There is something about Cape Town winters that excite me. When most people are fleeing for warmer weather I am embracing the locals, lack of ques and warm winter sun as opposed to scorching heat. One of my all time favourite things to do is head to a wine farm with friends and spend the day wine tasting and lounging on the lawns. A recent discovery of mine was Constantia Glen, it is the most beautiful hidden gem in the middle of Constantia. To me it feels like you are in the Franschhoek winelands, you would never say its only a 20min drive from home. As an ultimate foodie I am always searching for new delicious things to eat, and nothing is quite like what Constantia Glen has to offer. They offer a range of boards consisting of meats and cheeses and you choose your combo. There is also a biltong option, which is a nice side to your cheese and meat board. Each board is served with a freshly baked baguette, fresh fruit, olives and a delicious cranberry jelly. To accompany the tasty boards we ordered a bottle (or 2) of their Constantia Glen Saddle Red, which is so smooth and perfect for a winter’s day. Outfit wise I opted for a relaxed Sunday look.
