Painting the Town Pink

On Thursday the 2nd July, I was fortunate enough to attend the most fabulous launch of Benefit Cosmetics in South Africa.

We were greeted with bubbles, ladies in pink and shirtless men and as usual I headed straight to the buffet table where there was an overload of delicious sushi, yummy pastries and a tower of cosmos. We then made our way to the photo booth where props were handed to us and lots fun was had. The day just got better as the Benefit team hit the stage to present us with their amazing make up collection, as well as giving us a breakdown into the history of Benefit which was accompanied by dazzling showgirls.

We then headed through to sample all the incredible make up, and I was absolutely blown away! There were 3 products that stood out in particular for me and from now on they will be a must have in my make up bag.

  1. They’re Real Mascara: This mascara is beyond belief! It gives you that false lashes look which I love and is guaranteed to lengthen and thicken your lashes.
  2. Sun Beam: This is a gorgeous shimmer cream which makes your skin look instantly radiant and adds a bronzed glow.
  3. The Pore Fessional: This is a balm that minimizes the appearance of your pores, which provides you with a gorgeous flawless matte finish.

For me, Benefit has always been a makeup brand that has stood out from the rest. Their packaging is super fun, girly and retro and I absolutely love the names of all their products. As an added BENEFIT they all smell amazing too!

South Africa is the 44h country that Benefit has launched in and luckily for us Benefit has teamed up with Edgar’s and Red Square and will be available at 5 stores by the end of July. These stores include Edgar’s Sandton, Edgar’s Clearwater Mall, Red Square Cresta Mall, Red Square Canalwalk and Edgar’s Canalwalk.

Thank you to my beautiful friend Lauren Engelbrecht for inviting me to be a part of this glamorous girly day, and a huge congratulations to you for all your hard work you have put in.

So come on girls lets paint South Africa pink… and always remember laughter is the best cosmetic!
